Dane Hudson now available for Keynote Speeches

I am extremely excited to announce a further evolution to accelerate the sharing of Impactful Leadership concepts and insights through keynote presentations. Two keynotes have been created, leveraging the Impactful Leadership content, combined with my learning from coaching, mentoring, and advising over 120 CEOs and 300 C-Level leaders over the last 3 years since Impactful Leadership was founded. The two keynotes are “The ABC of Leadership” and “The Power of Discipline to achieve your life goals”. Please refer to my website for further insight and to enquire about booking.

Dane Hudson – Inspiring Keynotes on Growth & Leadership

As a teaser, let me share some insights into the “Discipline” keynote. Those of you that know me well, would likely describe me as one of the most disciplined people they have ever met. I have used my learnings to create the below keynote:

Discipline is the secret sauce, or not so hidden key, to achieve your aspirations.

Research validates its transformative effects such as alleviating stress, boosting self-esteem, and propelling you towards your loftiest goals—all within reach through surprisingly simple steps.

If it is so powerful why do so many people avoid or give up implementing more discipline in their lives? The major reasons are:

  • Lack of motivation: People need a powerful WHY to be the catalyst for change.
  • Overwhelmed by the challenge as old habits are hard to break: “I am not a disciplined person” is a common excuse people use to avoid even commencing the journey. Those that have endeavoured to change often fail as they cannot embed the new behaviours.
  • External pressures pushing them off course: Life has a way of getting in the way, regularly throwing up roadblocks.
  • Lack of personal accountability and no support structure as you cannot do it alone.
  • They simply do not know where to start.

Dane Hudson’s keynote puts forward compelling reasons to become disciplined and through his DISCPLNE framework, he provides the behavioural changes to create rituals and habits which will lead to greater discipline. This will benefit the individuals, and your organisation.

  • D: Deliberate Decision to instil Discipline in your life. It is a choice that the person must make so they need to be inspired to make that decision. What will be your WHY to make the decision to be disciplined every day? It is a choice to be a passenger or driver of your life.
  • I: I own it. You alone own each step and change required to become more disciplined. There is no room to be a victim here.
  • S: Sow the seeds and start small. The tallest tree starts with one small seed. Creating a more disciplined life first requires successfully implementing tiny habits…but how do you choose those changes? Choose those with the least amount of “life friction.”
  • C: Cheer yourself on. To be disciplined you must learn how to reset, reboot, relaunch, and recognise your improvements. It is OK to be a bit selfish at times; as the airlines say, “put your own oxygen mask on first”. Understand your unique approaches to handle setbacks and move forward; and be your own biggest cheerleader, not critic on your journey to be more disciplined.
  • P: Partner your Partner and the Power of Public commitments. We all need a support base to lift us up when we are down and to hold us to our commitment to be disciplined. Make your commitments public as we are more likely to achieve goals that others know about.
  • L: Lifelong Learning. Maintaining discipline in our lives can only be achieved if we continue to learn and evolve… Settling for the status quo is relinquishing hope.
  • N: Nothing good happens after 10pm. Being disciplined is about making more right decisions, than wrong ones…. Removing or reducing temptation is required. Put yourself in a position to be lucky, not unlucky.
  • E: Enough is enough. Know when you have or are about to reach your limit. Having unrealistic goals has a surprisingly detrimental impact on your journey to discipline… Failing to achieve an unrealistic goal can knock you off your path…. Know what is enough.
